KALEIDO's Queer Space 2026

For the third year running, KALEIDO takes over Landjuweel with a queer universe of our own. Join our biggest project yet: four areas, over 80 people & one collective losing its mind in the reeds. At this point we're organising a festival within a festival...

Queer Stage

Hidden deep in the reeds stands our last queer safe haven, built by hand by us. For four days we play with absurdity, activism and prime time entertainment: a lesbian wedding ceremony, a spiritual titan battle, BINGO, puppies and dragtivists. At Sunday's Embrace Your No Talent we're throwing the door wide open, kids' catwalk included.

Seasoned performers share the stage with people climbing up for the very first time. After the shows our flamboyant DJ crew spins you into freedom with electrobangers, campy fempop and disco pearls. This is the beating heart of KALEIDO and we're fucking proud! Find us in the reeds, but be warned: before you know it, you're the one in the spotlight...

Faerie Forest

Between the reeds and the trees waits a universe you only find if you dare to wander: the enchanted domain of faeries, freaks and furbies, where every encounter is a small ritual. Get a tattoo, an Intimate Haircut, a tarot reading from an angel or a villain, or a cosy poetry consult and massage from Dr. Oxytocin. You cannot avoid the sickly-sweet pink Kalaudo castle, Disney meets Vegas meets the Efteling, home to a puppet show, CruLaua, and guard dog BoBo. 

Somewhere between the branches glows a portal to the realm of the UBERFURBY, where dozens of furbies wait with a message you won't get out of your ears. Come search, come get lost, leave a little stranger.

Workshop Rietreat

In the green field stands the Rietreat, where for the first time KALEIDO and Peacock Garden join forces on a four-day workshop programme that takes you gently by the hand and carries you a little further than expected. By day it's a playground for everyone: transform into a dragtivist, siren or your own pet, learn to flirt, get painted, play Consent Bingo, or go on a platonic speeddate, while the smallest festival creatures make slime and rehearse for the kids' catwalk. As evening falls the play gets bolder, sometimes blindfolded, exploring sensual energies. 

On Friday from 6 PM, Peacock Garden takes over with their own evening of yoga, art, bubbles and music: a soft glide into the weekend. For the curious, the hesitant and the shape-explorers: come slow down, go deeper, or simply disappear into the reeds.

Friday Chruch Takeover

For the very first time, KALEIDO gets the keys to the church of Ruigoord on Friday! The afternoon warms up with dance, workouts, games and playfight, before a peculiar cult leader shows up to win souls and we unleash our primal energy together.

By evening the KALEIDO DJs take over until five in the morning, carrying you from rousing disco through synthwave and electro into raw queer rave, breathing light and psychedelic visuals, while KALEIDO performers turn the place upside down in between. Churches have preached for centuries about who you should be. We proclaim the opposite gospel: exist as bold as you are. HALLELUJAH!
